Minecraft: The Nightmare - Sketch-Dump 1

This is a sketch-dump to show my practice of the various characters of the "Minecraft: The Nightmare" comic I'm making, as well as some characters from the "Minecraft: The Awakening" comic.

Obviously, I've been practicing with my Minecraft OC, Alex, the most. To go into a little more detail about him, Alex is basically a representation of 3 people in one: Myself (based on my own personal adventures in Minecraft); Dock, an artist that formerly worked for Mojang and made 3D models for various characters, including his own creation, Rana; And lastly, the first person who started the Herobrine creepypasta, with his first reported sighting of Herobrine from when he started his Minecraft adventure. Being inspired by 3 different people, Alex is easily the most interesting character in the "Minecraft: The Nightmare" and is my favorite character to draw.

Rana, as I just mentioned, is the creation of Dock and has an unused character model made for Minecraft. I based her design off her official 3D art by Dock. In "Minecraft: The Nightmare" Rana is a character that teams up with Alex to help him with his investigation of Herobrine. Despite her young age and innocent appearance, Rana is actually quite clever and cunning.

Lastly, there is Josephine (a.k.a Josey), who is the Minecraft OC of my DA lil sis, Anjie . Josey plays a somewhat minimal role in "Minecraft: The Nightmare" but plays a much more important role in "Minecraft: The Awakening" when she joins up with Alex as he continues to pursue Herobrine and help the main protagonist, Steve.
